Dispatch · All 5 NYC Boroughs & Long Island
HVAC repair · Queens
AC, heating, PTAC, mini-split and radiator repair for Queens houses, two-family homes, apartments and storefront businesses, with a written quote first. Our technicians handle central ac & split systems, furnace & forced-air heat, two-family & per-floor systems and ptac & through-wall units. A technician diagnoses the problem on site and gives a written quote before any approved work begins.
Why Gotham Home Services
Gotham Home Services repairs air conditioning, forced-air heating, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, PTAC units and in-unit radiators in Queens. Call dispatch at (516) 348-5145 for no-cool, no-heat, leaking and tripping-breaker calls in homes, two-family houses, apartments and light-commercial spaces. A technician diagnoses the fault on site, explains it, and gives a written quote before any repair starts. Gotham Home Services Inc. holds NYC home improvement contractor license 2132513-DCWP. Pricing is quote on request because the equipment, access and the repair itself differ by property.

What we handle
Repair calls in Queens follow the housing. Detached and attached houses in Bayside, Fresh Meadows and Douglaston usually have a furnace and central air or a split system, so the calls are no-cool in July, short-cycling, frozen coils and furnaces that will not light. Two-family houses in Astoria, Ridgewood and Jackson Heights often run separate equipment for each floor, and one unit failing while the other runs is common. Elevator buildings in Long Island City and Forest Hills bring PTAC and through-wall units.
Our first job is to find out which system you have and what it is actually doing. We check power, controls, airflow, drainage and the equipment itself before naming a part, then quote the repair in writing.
Work is limited to residential, light-commercial and PTAC equipment we repair ourselves, plus unit-level radiators and valves. Building boiler rooms and central plant equipment are not part of our scope.
No cooling, warm air, frozen coils, leaking drains and condensers that will not start.
No ignition, short-cycling, blower faults and thermostats that will not call for heat.
Diagnosing one floor's equipment without disturbing the other tenant's system.
Units that will not start, cool, heat or drain in LIC and Forest Hills buildings.
Local service guidance
If you rent in Queens and the whole building is cold, central heat is the owner's responsibility during NYC heat season, October 1 through May 31. Report it to the landlord in writing and to 311. If only your unit is cold, or you own the home, the fault is usually in equipment we can diagnose: a thermostat, a furnace, a radiator valve or a PTAC.
For cooling, check that the thermostat is set to cool, the breaker has not tripped and the filter is not clogged. If the outdoor unit is silent or the indoor coil is iced, switch the system off and call. Running a frozen system can damage the compressor.
